The National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Discusses Joint Cooperation with the World Health Organization

The National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management discussed areas of joint cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) during a meeting attended by Dr. Ahmed Zouiten, WHO Representative, and his accompanying delegation, along with a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Director of Technical Cooperation and International Relations presented an overview of the center and its objectives, highlighting the vital role it plays in responding to crises and disasters.

Prospects for cooperation in various fields were also discussed, particularly in addressing health crises and disasters. Emphasis was placed on enhancing cooperation between the two sides in areas such as epidemic response, providing technical support, and exchanging vital health information.

The importance of building national health capacity was emphasized, as was developing national plans and strategies to address health disasters and epidemics. The importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge between the center and the WHO was also emphasized, as was the need to strengthen cooperation between the two sides to enhance health capacity in Libya.
