The National Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management participated in a dialogue organized by the Libyan Center for Strategic Studies and National Security, which addressed the repercussions of floods and torrential rains in the affected areas of eastern Libya.
During the event, the extensive damage caused by the recent floods in the region was highlighted, with a focus on recovery and relief efforts to mitigate the effects of natural disasters. Participants from various governmental, academic, and humanitarian agencies discussed the most prominent challenges facing relief and reconstruction operations, as well as the importance of improving crisis management strategies in the future.
During the dialogue, the Center reviewed the measures and procedures it has taken to assist the affected areas, emphasizing the need to develop proactive strategies to address natural disasters and achieve sustainability in recovery operations.
