The National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management, in partnership with the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, organized a workshop entitled “Directing Scientific Research in the Field of Crisis and Disaster Management in the Absence of a National Strategy to Mitigate Their Consequences.”

This workshop is part of the preparations for the Fifth Arab Ministerial Housing Forum, under the title “Localizing Sustainable Development Goals for Reconstruction and Disaster Response,” held on the sidelines of the (40) session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction.

The workshop addressed scientific topics related to directing scientific research in the field of crisis management, especially in the absence of clear national strategies to address the repercussions of disasters.

Many experts and academics from various disciplines participated in the open dialogue, exchanging views and proposing solutions to address the challenges of crisis management in Libya.

The workshop concluded with the formulation of scientific outcomes aimed at enhancing research cooperation and directing national efforts towards developing effective strategies in the field of disaster and crisis management.
