Director of the National Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Discusses Cooperation in Digital Transformation and Capacity Building with Representatives of Expertise France

The Director General of the National Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management received in his office Mr. Julien Schmitt, State Representative and Program Director at Expertise France, and Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Aswad, Vice President of Programs, in the presence of the Director of the Office of Technical Relations and International Cooperation.

During the meeting, Mr. Al-Fitouri presented an overview of the center and its most important activities to improve the state’s response to crises and disasters. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation and knowledge exchange, particularly with regard to digital transformation and digitization, as well as the importance of establishing a risk register and developing related policies and procedures.

For his part, the representatives of Expertise France expressed their pleasure at meeting Mr. Al-Fitouri, and Mr. Julien Schmitt affirmed the center’s readiness to explore all aspects of joint cooperation with the center, particularly in the areas of capacity building and skills enhancement for its staff, which would contribute to enhancing effective crisis response.
