The National Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Center (NCEMC) is exploring cooperation with the European Response and Support Center (ERCC) to uncover the causes of the Asabaa fires.
The National Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Center (NCEMC) held an online meeting at the center’s headquarters, bringing together the center’s technical team and representatives of the European Response and Support Center (ERCC) of the European Commission.
The meeting discussed the circumstances and potential causes behind the house fires in Asabaa, and reviewed ways of technical cooperation to address them effectively.
The technical team presented a comprehensive visual presentation that included an integrated response plan to address this phenomenon. The plan aims to achieve practical results in the near term through partnerships with several international agencies specializing in this type of disaster.
It was also agreed that a specialized international team would conduct a field visit to Libya in the coming period to closely examine the situation and determine the root causes of the escalation of these fires, which have sparked widespread concern in the Libyan street and directly impacted the safety of residents and property.
