A European expert team arrives in Al-Asabaa in response to the National Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management to determine the causes of the fires.

The city of Al-Asabaa received a team of European experts from Malta, Finland, and Estonia to monitor the repercussions of the recent fires that have swept the region. This comes as part of strengthening international cooperation and exchanging expertise in disaster response, in coordination with the National Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, and in response to a request for assistance submitted by Libya through the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.

The team conducted field inspections and is working closely with national cadres, embodying the spirit of joint action to confront natural disasters.

This cooperation aims to assess the environmental and humanitarian damage resulting from the fires, determine the causes of their outbreak, enhance rapid response capabilities, and provide technical support in the areas of firefighting and prevention in the future, in partnership with relevant authorities.
